Since March 2008 I have been working for
Conducive Pty Ltd,
as a senior consultant / technical architect,
for the resources / mining industry.
From June 2003 to March 2008 I worked for
ISS Group
(formerly Industrial Software Solutions), as a software engineer,
technical lead, project manager and product development manager,
for the oil & gas, resources / mining and manufacturing industries.
From June 2001 to September 2005 I worked for
Defence Science and Technology Organisation (DSTO),
as a consultant / software engineer,
in missile simulation.
In May 2000 I formed Block Software,
developing games technology and custom web sites,
until June 2008 when I sold the company.
From December 1997 to April 2000 I worked for
the game developer Ratbag Pty Ltd,
as a lead programmer and producer,
on various projects including the award-winning
Powerslide (1998) and Dirt Track Racing (1999).

Binary Space,
developing the Flash game
Class 3 Outbreak.
From 1996 to 2001 the hobby side of my programming was
an involvement in the 'demoscene'. I am a member of
the JiNX demo group, where I go by the alias Penfold.
The Coven demo party ran in Adelaide from 1995 to 2001 (skipping 99),
and JiNX won three of them (97, 98, 2000).
From 2004 to 2008 I developed battle.saxon.cx,
a distributed tank robot simulation game.

JXP is a C++ library containing various graphic functions,
including JPEG decoding and colour reduction,
which I developed from 1997 to 2000.
